Yes and NO....
My parents are fully aware that I am in the adult industry as a writer, and they support my creative expression with a healthy level of parental concern for any morality and perversion issues that may arise. But my parents do not know that I'm an escort, and to be quite honest, there really isn't a reason for them to know that.
It's like being a teenager and bragging to my parents that I smoke weed and fuck random guys after school. What good would that do me if I grew up in a conservative and religious family? Nada, Just a bunch of fucking lectures and headaches!
Although I am quite proud of my accomplishments in this underground game known as "The Hobby", I am also quite aware that this industry is illegal, so admitting to my parents that I'm an escort is also admitting to them that I'm a law breaker, and the last thing I need from them is the constant nagging about what I'm doing with my pussy.
Telling friends is a whole different ball of problems and issues that can make your life one big annoying mess. That's why my conversations about escorting are limited to other escorts, clients, and adult entertainers. I really do lead a double life, and I make no apologies for doing that. It's to protect myself and my clients from bullshit drama that may arise from me opening my mouth when I really should be shutting the fuck up. So to remedy that issue, I just keep my mouth closed about my little extra curricular activities just like my clients should do as well.
I've heard numerous horror stories about girls being outed by boyfriends, friends, and lovers, which is a reason why I choose the people in my personal circle with great discern. I don't have the time or the patience for jealous and woefully insecure people in my personal life. That's a problem waiting to manifest. And too much disclosure can ruin your shit for LIFE.
So always remember that people go to JAIL for slips of the mouth between "friends". People go to JAIL for the innocent "pillow talk" between lovers...So If you tell somebody your affairs, best believe that they've told someone, and so on and so on. Just keep your mouth closed just like the Mafia teaches us, and we'll be in business for years to come.
