Ok ladies this one's for you. Not to sound like an infomercial but are you burned out, stressed or depressed? If you've answered YES to being one or all of the above, then hold on to your G-string and stilettos cause this entry is for you! I usually don't do these kinds of "spoon feeding" posts because a lot of ladies out there are a bit on the ungrateful side, but I've been getting quite a few emails lately asking for help, and far be it of me to deny a nice young hooker some sound business advice. So here we go!
(Burn-out prevention 101)
I think I've learned one of the main reasons why so many escorts get burned out in this industry, and the answer is: The lack of time management. Now hear me out for a second because this is an important factor in keeping your sanity in this business. If you are a hooker that will see clients anytime after midnight, then you are setting yourself up for burn-out. Set a schedule for yourself and stick to it; If your ad states that your available from 11am-9pm don't deviate an inch from that schedule. Don't even answer your phones before or after your scheduled work times. Stop letting your clients run you into the ground. It's time that we start treating this hobby as if it's our very own personal business, and what business owner you know takes calls off the clock? You ain't no doctor or lawyer sweetheart, so it's OK to turn your phone off and tell clients NO every once in a while.
Set a weekly financial and volume goal for yourself, and always keep documentation of what you do. I know many girls frown upon keeping records of their clients and donations, but how else will you remember certain men if you don't document them? Another good reason to keep records is financial bookkeeping. Have a ledger of what you made so you can compare your weekly, monthly and daily financial stats. By doing this you can see what weeks, months, and days were your best or worst, then devise a plan to improve them. A lot of girls would be surprised at how much money they make and waste on a daily basis. Make sure to keep your documents in a safe place especially if you work from your home.
(Stress Prevention 101)
Routine, routine, routine, I can't stress enough the importance of having a set routine that you follow to a T. Again, this goes back to keeping documentation of your day; from the amount of clients you see in a certain day, to everything else that needs to get accomplished in your everyday life. Always keep documentation of the things that need to get done, from getting an oil change to taking the kids to the movies. This way you can have a list of things that needs to be tackled instead of flying by the seat of your pants like a crazy woman. Get your life organized woman.
Hours before your client arrives for a session have a nice glass of wine or a cup of warm tea to relax you. I love lighting incense and candles an hour before my client arrives, and I sit on the floor meditating or stretching for about 15 minutes. This releases certain endorphins in your brain which affects your emotions. Last but not least think about the money. Always keep the money at the foreground of your thoughts, and when you get some, SAVE SOME!
(Depression prevention 101)
Ok, I'm no therapist and can't really give you any advice on combating your depression. First look at the source of your depression and see what's fucked up in your life or mind and start healing it. If you can't get to a therapist easily, then look towards spirituality for guidance and support. I know that a lot of morons will tell you that they don't believe in organized religion and neither do I, but never be ashamed to look towards a higher power to guide you, because whether or not you believe it, there is a force out there bigger and more advance than you are, and they are always available to send support if you know how to ask for it. Last but not least, ALWAYS think positive. Sending positive energy out into the universe is a great way to get positive energy back. Always remember the saying "Where the mind goes the behind follows"!
