Those of you that know me personally, or have had any conversations with me regarding my beliefs know that I shy away from organized Religion, but have a deep seated belief in a higher power. I simply refuse to follow any set of doctrines or rules that tell me how to worship or who and what to worship. Some days I'm just not feeling Jesus (no offense), and I look to Buddha for inspiration. Some days I feel disconnected from Buddha and look towards Paganism, and doing this works for me, it keeps me creative, open, and tolerant.
I thank God for my education in History, and the knowledge I've gained. Unlike most religious people, I can tell you the history of certain doctrines, and why they were created. It was actually my learning's about the "Council of Nicaea" which made me believe that Jesus was a figure that was manifested out of thin air by the European Roman Greco Christian Church. I won't go into details about "The Council of Nicaea" but you're welcome to do your own research, Wikipedia it!
I will say that I'm doing my research on Paganism and the ability to tap into the high powers without the middle man, so to speak. I practice a Pagan ritual weekly called smudging. In smudging, White Sage is burned in a shell to drive away negative energies, feelings, or influences, and also to keep bad spirits from entering the area where the ritual takes place. I've been smudging weekly for about 3 years with WONDERFUL results. This ritual works for me as it drives away any negative energies that may be lingering around certain clients that come into my home! I believe that through intimacy and sex, certain energies are exchanged between the two involved. So if I'm intimate with a client who has hate or anger in his heart, then that energy will linger, leaving me disenchanted, uneasy, paranoid, or just tired. This is when I need to smudge
Paganism is a practice that probably fits my personality a little better than the other religious doctrines that I was raised with...Baptist, Pentecostal, and Episcopal. Yeah I have a schizophrenic religious background. LOL
But anyway, in Paganism the main rule is to "Do NO harm unto others", which means physically, emotionally, verbally, or in thoughts. Even a negative thought can evoke a negative reaction. The same rules apply to the teachings of Buddhism which I'm researching right now as well.
Karma is powerful and can have a devastating affect on you if you're not careful. So always remember to "DO NO HARM unto others", and only let the words of positivity and encouragement drip from your lips. If not, then be ready to get back what you put out 10 fold, and that's the TRUTH!
