I usually don't write about politics because it's not my forte or area of expertise. Basically when it comes to Politics and political antics, I usually just look at the issues that affect me personally like the economy, Education, Healthcare, finances, and some foreign relations. Yes my lovelies, even hookers like to keep up with what's going on in the world.
I've been following the Presidential hoopla since the beginning, and when I get a wild hair up my butt, I'll discuss politics with clients, friends, and family. Everyone seems to have their own personal opinions about all the candidates, and to my surprise, most of my conservative clientele were actually on the fence as to weather or not their voting Republican in the election. I guess most people are thinking the same thing at the moment...WE NEED CHANGE! I think the one thing that both Republicans and Democrats can agree on is that we need CHANGE. We need change desperately!
When I visited Paris a few months back, I could see how strong their economy was, and how their anti-American sentiment had more to do with our failing economics than anything else. Like my Swedish friend once said to me, "America's economy has a trickle down affect", which means that if our economy is failing or booming, then it indirectly affects other countries as well.
I LOVE having clients from other countries, so that I may get a different point of view on certain issues. This is why I've built such closeness with my Arab and Indian clientele. Hearing their point of view on the War and America, versus what the Media tells us. Again, here we have an example of how the Media paints a negative portrait of a group of people who are actually kind, non-violent, and very family oriented people (turbans and all). The one thing that ALL my foreign clients and friends agree on is their displeasure with America's need to "Invade" other countries, especially under the cloak of democracy and liberation. Most of these countries do just fine without us trying to invade them, and change their way of life and thinking.
Most of my readers may view me a traitor to this Country, but I'm a realist. That's why I don't claim to be Liberal, Conservative, Republican, or Democrat. I'm a realist, and I see faults, flaws, up's and downs with both parties.
I guess if I had to choose between the two parties, I would more than likely choose Democrat for different reasons.
I guess I'm a Liberal, but I'm definitely a "take care of your own shit" type of Liberal |
