I was given an interesting movie about the Laws of Attraction called "The Secret". A friend of mine gave this movie some time ago and decided to watch it for the first time Sunday morning. Although I'm quite impressed by the premise of the movie, I have to say that everything discussed in this film was something that I already knew. I basically surround my life with the positive thought process in order to gain positivity and prosperity. I firmly believe that whatever energy you put out into universe, is the same exact energy that you will receive. So, if your whole motive is to cause harm, or to speak negatively of someone, you will get the same in return. It's guaranteed and proven.
This is more so prevalent in the world of sex work and the adult industry. I see so many women entering the business with this over paranoia of being harmed or mistreated. Now this is not to say that sex workers shouldn't be careful, or not hold a level of discernment for the men that they see, I just feel that we women create our own experiences though what we feel and think about men, our clients, and our sessions with them. I hear so many women getting into this business for the quick buck, or to make a quick dollar to pay a bill, and not realizing that taking the time to cultivate a positive business approach could make them wealthier and freer than they could ever imagine.
We've been taught by society that prostitution is repugnant, and that those that participate in it are social outcasts and sexual deviants, which in actuality is the complete opposite of the truth. This is one of the main reasons why most sex workers don't view themselves as businesswomen. This is the reason why they don't make any money and oftentimes have shitty experiences. It's the negativity that surrounds the business.... the "idea" of what prostitution is!
Sadly enough, it will probably always be this way because the negative views will always prevail. Sex will always have this air of seediness and nastiness. I mean, some men don't even ask their wives for blow jobs or anal sex because of the seedy reputation of these particular acts. Until we can come to grips with positive sexual practices, then most of us will always view this industry as being for the disgusting and lowlifes of society!
